Riftbound in, Magic out, Gundam next

Printed Price covers games where regular buyers struggle to get sealed product at the price on the box. That's why we're changing which games we cover.

Magic: The Gathering is gone

Most Magic sets sell at or below their box price, often within weeks of release. The Aetherdrift play booster box, for example, went for about 0.6 times its price (see Why prices jump). There's no problem for us to solve there, so Magic has left the game switch, Releases and Deals. Items you added to your own collection stay.

Riftbound is in

Riot's League of Legends card game is the opposite of Magic. A booster display costs $120 at MSRP, but in September 2026 they sold for about $244 to $258 (Origins), about $186 (Spiritforged) and about $172 (Unleashed), according to PriceCharting. Store pre-orders for the next set, Radiance (October 23), have run $140 to $225 (RiftCompare). Riot's own store limits displays to one per Riot ID, and they sell out.

It's also a young game on the rise. It launched in October 2025, game stores reported strong sales and plenty of new players at launch (ICv2), and Riot now releases a new set every quarter.

Riftbound is sold mainly through game stores, not big-box shelves, and about half the independent shops we check carry it. That's where Printed Price helps most: Releases lists every Riftbound product with its MSRP, and Deals shows the checked shops selling it at or near that price.

One Piece on Deals

One Piece was already on Releases. Deals now includes English One Piece booster boxes, premium boxes, double packs and starter decks from the shops we check, named by set code (OP-10, EB-02, PRB-01) and judged against Bandai's prices.

Gundam is next

Bandai's Gundam Card Game shows the same pattern. The first English set (GD01) sells for about $415 against a box price of about $120, and the latest (GD05) for about $190 (PriceCharting). The next set, GD06, is out October 30. We'll add it once Riftbound is running smoothly, with filters to keep Japanese boxes and Gunpla model kits out.

We're watching the Cyberpunk TCG too. It launches this fall, and we'll decide once there's a track record.

The Store Report Card now shows its math

Each big store's score now comes from a published formula: 40 points for price, 30 for fair access, 15 for stopping bots and 15 for transparency. Every point is tied to a fact with a source link. Price is measured on the Elite Trainer Box, the most popular launch purchase and where stores mark up the most. See the Store Report Card.
