How we choose shops
Every shop on Printed Price is reviewed before it is listed, and reviewed again when something looks wrong. Here's what we look for, and how to tell us about a shop.
What every listed shop has
- A verifiable retail business, with an established storefront or online presence and contact details you can reach.
- A good record with buyers. We read independent reviews. A pattern of credible complaints about orders that never arrive, fake or resealed product, or refused refunds keeps a shop off. One bad review in a good record doesn't.
- Its own online store. A public catalog on the shop's own website, so we can link you straight to the product. Marketplace sellers and social pages aren't listed.
- Shipping. The shop ships orders. Shops that only offer in-store pickup aren't listed, and products a shop marks as pickup-only are left out.
What takes a shop off
- It stops shipping, or a pattern of credible complaints shows up.
- It's never at a fair price in a game: a shop that keeps listing a game's products with none at or near MSRP is left out of that game.
- The shop asks to be removed.
How prices are judged
Deals shows products at or under MSRP, and near MSRP: up to 5% or $10 over, whichever is more, and never more than a quarter over. Prices are compared before shipping and tax. Fair-price eligibility is evaluated separately for each game, so a shop can qualify for One Piece while being excluded for Pokémon. Deals explains more under "Why these show up".
No paid placement
Shops can't pay to be listed, featured or ranked higher. Being listed is free. Shop owners can read For retailers.
Report a shop
Seen a listed shop that doesn't ship, shows the wrong price, or doesn't seem right? Tell us. We review every report before changing anything, so one report can't remove a shop.
Suggest a shop
Know a card shop with its own website that sells sealed product at fair prices and ships? Suggest it, and we'll check it the same way as every other shop.
What happens to what you send
We read every report and suggestion. We keep them privately to check shops, and never publish them. Your email is optional and is only used to reply. We don't keep your IP address: a short-lived anonymous check stops repeat sending.
