What's coming at launch

The launch lineup is three ready-to-play Starter Decks and one Booster Pack; Bandai hasn't announced prices or card counts for either.

  • Starter Decks3

Led by Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha and Gaara; "pre-constructed with all the cards needed to start playing". Price and card count not announced.

  • Booster Pack 1"Enter: Naruto Uzumaki!"

Characters from NARUTO and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN. Cards per pack, packs per box and price not announced.

Quotes and lineup: Bandai, October 10, 2026. The game also features BORUTO characters (same release).

How it plays

Bandai says: players win by "attacking to reduce the opponent's Leader's Life to zero." The Leader is "the heart of a player's deck"; Characters are "a player's front line" and "can unleash Jutsu, such as Ninjutsu, by paying a Chakra cost"; Chakra is "a player's resource pool"; and a Summon card is "a required card to bring Character cards into battle."

Bandai, July 29, 2026. Full rules, rarities and deck-building limits aren't published yet.

How to get a Demo Deck

Premier Demo Events, from February 2027

Events at participating game stores where you "can try the cards in person and learn the rules". Bandai hasn't said whether they cost anything. Wave 1 is select large BANDAI TCG+ stores; Wave 2 adds more stores later. Bandai hasn't posted the store list yet (Bandai).

1 million Demo Decks, from spring 2027

A worldwide campaign to distribute them so players can "experience the basic flow of the game … at their own pace ahead of launch". Bandai hasn't said yet how they'll be distributed, whether they cost anything, or what's inside one (Bandai).

Convention Tutorial Sessions, now

Demos at shows such as Gen Con and New York Comic Con. The demo decks there aren't take-home, but finishing a session got players the promo "CP-001 Chakra Card" if they'd joined Bandai's NARUTO updates channel in the BANDAI TCG+ app and completed a survey (Bandai, Gen Con page).

Event exclusives

An "Official Playmat - NARUTO VS. SASUKE" and a "Premium Card Collection Vol.00 - CHAKRA Set" are sold only at Premier Demo Events and select BANDAI CARD GAMES Fest stops, including Orlando (January 7–10, 2027) and London (January 15–17, 2027). Prices not announced (Bandai).

Be ready: make a BANDAI NAMCO ID, install the BANDAI TCG+ app and join the "NARUTO TCG UPDATES CHANNEL", which is where Bandai posts updates (Bandai). When the store list appears, ask your local game store whether it's hosting.

Where it will be sold: what Bandai has said

Bandai sells its card games through game stores that join its BANDAI TCG+ program; its retailer page says details on how stores can carry NARUTO CARD GAME "will be available soon". It names four official US distributors: GTS, Universal Distribution, PHD Games and Southern Hobby (Bandai). None had listed NARUTO CARD GAME products or prices as of October 10, 2026.

Bandai hasn't said whether it will sell through Premium Bandai lotteries, or whether big stores like Target or Walmart will carry it at launch. In Europe, Asmodee will distribute it to "hobby retailers, specialty retailers and mass markets retailers" (Asmodee, July 30, 2026). When pre-orders open, MSRP is the yardstick; we'll list it as soon as Bandai or a distributor publishes it.

Not the same game: Naruto cards you'll see that aren't this

Naruto Mythos, Kayou cards and Bandai's older Naruto games are different products.

Search "Naruto cards" on a marketplace today and you'll find plenty, but none of it is NARUTO CARD GAME, which doesn't exist in stores until 2027. These are different products, not fakes:

Naruto Mythos TCG

A separate game from another publisher, with sets named Konoha Shidō, Shinobi Shiren and Akatsuki.

Kayou Naruto cards

Collectible packs sold by tier and wave (for example "Tier 3 Wave 2"), plus the NARUTO-Smriti line. Collectible cards, not this game.

Bandai's older Naruto CCG

Bandai's first English Naruto card game ran from 2006 to 2013 (ICv2). Its cards and boxes still sell as vintage.

Other Naruto card games

Japanese Carddass "Naruto Card Game" cards from the 2000s, and the "Naruto Boruto Card Game" sets, are different games too, even where the name looks close.

How to tell: look for the "NARUTO CARD GAME" logo, BANDAI CARD GAMES as the publisher, and a 2027 release. Before June 2027, a listing that claims to sell NARUTO CARD GAME boosters is a pre-order at best; with no MSRP published yet, there's nothing to judge its price against.

What happened at Bandai's last two launches

Context from One Piece and Gundam, not a prediction.

Context only; it doesn't tell us what will happen with Naruto.

  • 2006
Bandai's first Naruto game sold out its first hobby shipment and went back to press: "There is no more product of any quantity left in our warehouse" (ICv2, July 9, 2006).
  • 2022
One Piece sold $11.99 Super Pre-Release Starter Decks in stores two months before launch, one of each per player (Bandai). Its first booster box went from about $120 to $166 on TCGplayer in its launch month (ICv2), and trade press later described "chronic undersupply" (ICv2, August 2023).
  • 2024–25
Gundam sold a $69.99 Edition Beta months before launch, marked "Currently Sold-Out" on Premium Bandai (Bandai). Its first booster box (MSRP $119.76) averaged $214.69 on TCGplayer in July 2025 and $166.40 by September (TCGplayer).

Bandai itself has said that slow translation "causes variation in the timing of product releases between regions" and called the result "lost business opportunities"; it launched Gundam in three languages at once (Bandai Namco, Integrated Report 2025). Whatever the first boxes sell for, the price on the box is the yardstick.

Everything here is what Bandai has announced as of October 10–11, 2026; we'll update this guide as products, prices and dates are published. Prices quoted for One Piece and Gundam are dated reports, not predictions.
