Our reader

Printed Price checks a small number of public pages so collectors know when trading card products are in stock at a fair price and when drawings open: news feeds, retailer announcement pages, and the catalogs and product pages of the shops we list. For news, we show a short line in our own words with a link to the source. For stores, we show whether an item is in stock and its price, with a link to buy it there.

Our reader identifies itself as "PrintedPrice". Before it reads a site it reads that site's robots.txt and follows it: if your robots.txt asks readers to skip a page, we don't request it, and if it asks us to skip your catalog, we stop at our next read. We honour a Crawl-delay. We read news feeds about every 15 minutes, most other pages about once an hour, and shop catalogs every couple of hours. We never log in, never add items to a cart, and stop at once at any bot check rather than get around it.

If you'd like us to stop reading your site or read it less often, email info@printedprice.com and we'll do it within a day.
