Printed Price started as a personal tool, built by a newborn's father who wanted to start a Pokémon collection for his son the way a lot of us had one growing up: a booster box here, an elite trainer box there, at the price printed on the box.
That turned out to be the hard part. Sealed product sells out in minutes, resellers list it the same afternoon at double, and the tools that help you keep up are paid Discord servers running bots. Joining that was not an option. So he built his own, and this is the version anyone can use.
What it does
- Shows what is coming. Release dates, pre-order windows and MSRP, from official announcements.
- Points you to the fair ways in. Retailer queues, invitation lists and drawings. Those exist so ordinary people get a shot, and most people never hear about them in time.
- Collects the news and the rumors from official sources, community press and public forums, with each claim marked by how well it is supported. Links go to the source; nothing is copied.
- Lists sealed product at MSRP from independent card shops that publish their inventory, so honest retailers get a larger audience than a bot would ever give them.
What it will never do
- No bots. It never joins a queue, adds to a cart or checks out for anyone.
- No polling of retailers. It reads announcements, feeds and public indexes, once, for everyone.
- No scalper listings. Marketplace resellers and above-MSRP prices are filtered out, not featured.
- No sign-ups. No accounts, no Discord server to join, no paid alert group, no email list. You open the site and use it.
- No selling of your information. There is nothing here to sell: what you save stays in your own browser, and the site keeps no accounts or visitor profiles. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not identify you.
The goal is simple: more people enjoying the hobby at the price it was meant to cost. If people ask for features that need an account, like reminders on your phone or syncing between devices, those will be optional, and everything you see today stays free without one.
