Pokémon Deck Crafter's Collection: what's in it, the $9.99 price, and what to check before you buy
Pokémon's Deck Crafter's Collection: Meowth ex comes out October 23, 2026 at a $9.99 MSRP (ICv2, August 10, 2026; PokéGuardian, August 6, 2026). It is 40 card staples and one booster pack, not a ready-to-play deck. At that price a queue isn't the risk; paying more than $9.99 is. On October 21, 2026, three independent shops we read listed it for pre-order at $9.99, $12.99 and $19.95.
In short
- The price on the box is $9.99. ICv2 and PokéGuardian both state it.
- It is 40 cards, not a 60-card deck: one foil Meowth ex, 39 Trainer cards, a guide, nine dividers, one booster pack and a Pokémon TCG Live code card.
- No drawing, queue or invitation turned up in the sources we read on October 21. Best Buy's page said "Coming Soon".
- Shop pre-order prices vary. The highest we saw was nearly double $9.99, so compare each with the MSRP before you pay.
Covers
What the Deck Crafter's Collection contains, its $9.99 price, what we saw at stores on October 21, and what to check before you pay.
Doesn't cover
Building a deck from it; our Pokémon buying guide covers where to start.
What's in it and what it costs
ICv2 calls it "40 staple cards for competitive decks", and PokéGuardian says it "appears to be a slimmed down version" of the earlier Trainer's Toolkit products. Both give an October 23, 2026 release. ICv2 says "It will retail for $9.99"; PokéGuardian says "The MSRP is $9.99 USD". That price is the MSRP, and the same $9.99 showed on Best Buy's page on October 21. Neither article names the booster pack's set, so we don't either.
Four checks before you pay
- 1Hold the price at $9.99. The fair-price limit we use is up to 5% or $10 over MSRP, whichever is more, and never more than a quarter over. For a $9.99 MSRP that's $12.49 at most. The $12.99 listing is just over it, and the $19.95 one is nearly double the MSRP.
- 2Add the shipping. Two of the shops we read on October 21 calculate shipping at checkout, so a $9.99 item can cost more by the time you pay.
- 3Read the pre-order terms. One shop said pre-orders can be cancelled up to a week before release; another sets its own policy. Check yours before you pay.
- 4Don't assume a store carries it. ICv2 and PokéGuardian name no retailer. Best Buy listed it as "Coming Soon" on October 21, with an account needed to buy and no purchase limit shown. We haven't confirmed other stores' listings, so look at each store yourself.

How we checked this
How we checked this: release date and price are ICv2's (August 10, 2026) and PokéGuardian's (August 6, 2026); no distributor price post was found on PHD Games' site on October 21. Contents match both, Best Buy's product page and the shop pages. Best Buy and the three shops' pages were read on October 21, 2026, and change without notice. We found no announced drawing, queue or invitation in those sources on that date.
